• To promote, strengthen and protect the interests of all millwrights through organization and education.
  
• To encourage apprenticeship and promote a higher standard of skill.
  
• To assist all organized labor in the pursuit of our collective goals and resist, by all honorable means the spread of the open shop.
  
• To purchase union made goods, patronize union shops and set a good example as faithful and skilled workers.
  
• To participate in the political arena "support our friends and defeat our enemies" and remain focused on our historical non-partisan principle.
